Daniel is just fabulous with his knowledge and his attention to detail. He made sure we ate what we liked, and that we ate a lot! He's a gem to have. Get your guide on the other hand is misleading with directions, very slow to reply and sells gaudi on the info whereas this was more about tapas and wine.

Our host Federico was great- gave us a good tour of the historical sites, was good humoured and showed us around some great places for tapas and desserts. We felt that perhaps we didn’t get as much experience of different tapas places (went to 3 venues rather than the advertised 4) as we would expect for the price, especially considering the copious amounts of tapas we managed to have the days after. But it was still a pleasant and enjoyable experience and we met some lovely people who were also in our group

TONS of tapas for only two people, so much so that we're not even sure how they make any money at all on this tour. it felt like a million dollars of tapas. we went to three different places all which were really awesome! we wouldn't have been able to choose tapas places without this tour as Barcelona has so many to choose from. Having a local guide ensures you're going to the good ones :) . one complaint though for GYG, the wrong meeting point was on the Google Map. when you click the get directions tab it brought us to 424 Av. Diagonal which is somehow 6 blocks away from 423 Av. Diagnal. long story short, we had no internet or phone service as tourists and were 30 mins late because of this and got our exercise in running a total of 18 blocks. we recommend typing the address in that's provided rather than clicking the map that GYG provides. also GYG says this is a "small group", it was just me, my husband and our guide. would have been nice to have another couple or two there.
